How to compress an image

  1. Select or drop up to 30 JPG, PNG, SVG, GIF or WEBP images.

  2. Keep Recommended, or choose Smallest that looks the same for JPG and WEBP files.

  3. Click Compress, then download each image or all of them in a ZIP.

Compress JPG, PNG, SVG and GIF images in your browser

This image compressor makes JPG, PNG, SVG and GIF files lighter, so pages load faster and attachments fit under upload limits. Each format gets its own method. JPGs are saved again with an efficient encoder as progressive JPGs, PNGs are optimized losslessly, SVGs lose editor clutter and comments, and GIFs keep every frame of their animation. If a file can't get any smaller, you get your original back, marked as already optimized.

Everything runs in your browser. Your images are never uploaded, so private photos stay on your device and there is no queue to wait in. You can compress up to 30 images or 200 MB in one go, free and without an account. Recommended gives a good balance of size and quality quickly. Smallest that looks the same checks each JPG and WEBP as it saves and keeps the smallest file that still looks like the original.
