PNG is lossless, so it is the format for screenshots, logos, icons and graphics with sharp edges or transparency. This page makes PNG files smaller without changing a single pixel: the image data is packed again with stronger lossless compression, and transparency is kept exactly. It helps most with PNGs exported straight from design apps and with screenshots, which often carry more bytes than they need.
