How to scan a document from a photo

  1. Photograph the page, then select the JPG, PNG, WEBP or HEIC photo.

  2. Check the corners found on the page, and drag any handle that is off.

  3. Pick Clean scan, Colour or Black & white, then click Scan and download.

Scan documents from a photo, no scanner needed

Scan document turns a photo of a page into a clean, straight scan. It finds the four corners of the page for you, straightens the page as if you had shot it from directly above, and makes the paper white. If a corner is off, drag its handle, tap where it should go or nudge it with the arrow keys. It works well for forms, receipts, letters, notes and homework.

Choose the look you need. Clean scan gives white paper and dark text while keeping color. Colour keeps the photo's own colors and evens out shadows and uneven light. Black & white gives crisp black text on white for forms and printing. The scan is saved as a high-quality JPG, up to 2400 pixels on its longer side. Everything happens in your browser, so your documents are never uploaded.
