How to crop an image

  1. Select or drop one JPG, PNG or GIF image.

  2. Drag the crop box, pick an aspect ratio or type exact pixel values.

  3. Click Crop and download your cropped image.

Crop images to exactly the part you want

Crop image trims a JPG, PNG or GIF down to the part you want to keep. Drag the frame and its handles on the picture, or type the width, height and X and Y position in pixels for a precise cut. Ratio presets include free, square 1:1, and 3:2, 4:3 and 5:4 along with their portrait versions, so it is easy to fit a profile picture, a print or a post.

The crop is applied to the image itself, not to the preview. JPG stays JPG at high quality, PNG stays PNG with its transparency, and an animated GIF is cropped frame by frame so the animation still plays. You can also nudge the crop box with the arrow keys for fine control. Cropping runs in your browser, so the image never leaves your device.
