How long can each frame show?

From 0.1 to 10 seconds per image. Short times give a fast flip-book effect, and longer ones suit a slideshow. Every frame in the GIF uses the same timing.

Do all my photos need the same size?

No. Frames are fitted to the size of the first image in the list, so photos of other sizes are scaled to match. For the cleanest result, crop your photos to the same shape first.

Will my photos look as good in a GIF?

GIF can use at most 256 colors in each frame, so smooth gradients and skin tones may look a little grainy. Simple images, text and flat graphics look cleanest as a GIF.

How do I make an animated GIF from JPG photos?

Add your JPGs, choose Convert to GIF, then Animated GIF. Set the seconds per image, choose whether it loops, and click Convert. The frames follow the order of the thumbnails in the list.

Does converting JPG to PNG improve quality?

No. PNG is lossless, so it keeps the photo exactly as it is now, but it can't bring back detail the JPG already lost. A PNG is usually much larger than the JPG it came from.

Yes. The animation uses the order of the thumbnails. Move images up or down, or sort them by file name, before you click Convert, and the GIF plays in that order.
