WEBP images saved from websites often won't open in older apps or editors. Converting them to PNG gives you a lossless file that works almost everywhere and keeps a transparent background, which matters for logos, stickers and product cut-outs. Unlike converting to JPG, nothing turns white and no new compression is added, so the picture stays exactly as it looked.
